Honey Hunting In Nepal – In the heart of the Himalayas of Nepal, there lives a tribe of Gurung who would risk their lives harvesting mad honey from “The great – Himalayan giant honey bees”, the biggest and one of the most dangerous honeybees in the world. This treacherous tradition that dates back to hundreds of years holds a great religious and cultural importance for these people, mostly Gurungs Village in Nepal.
The gray anotoxin present in the honey has some healing qualities as well. This mad, toxic, hallucinogenic, red honey is traded to the countries like Korea, China and Japan where they use it for medicinal purpose.
