नेपाल फोटो पत्रकार संघ (एनपिजेए) कास्कीमा अध्यक्षमा राम गुरुङ निर्वाचित भएका छन् । पोखरामा भएको संघको नवौं अधिवेशनबाट अग्रज फोटो पत्रकार गुरुङको नेतृत्वमा नयाँ कार्यसमिति सर्वसम्मत निर्वाचित भएको हो ।
संघको उपाध्यक्षमा राधिका कँडेल, सचिवमा धनबहादुर गुरुङ, सदस्यहरुमा संजय शाक्य, गिरीधारी पौडेल र प्रवेश पोखरेल निर्वाचित भएका हुन् । रिक्त रहेको सहसचिव र ३ सदस्यहरु कार्य समितिले पछि मनोनित गर्ने निर्वाचन समितिका संयोजक कृष्णमणि बरालले जानकारी दिए ।
अधिवेशनको नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघ, गण्डकी प्रदेशका अध्यक्ष रमेश पौडेलले उद्घाटन गरेका थिए । कार्यक्रमा अध्यक्ष पौडेलले समामार लेख्ने भन्दा फोटो पत्रकार फ्रन्ट लाइनमा बसेर काम गर्नुपर्ने हुँदा धेरै चूनौति सामना गर्नुपर्ने बताए । समाचारका लागि अति आवश्यक फोटो खिच्ने पत्रकारहरु एकजुट हुन आवश्यक रहेको उनको भनाइ थियो । ‘समाचारका लागि फोटो अति आवश्यक चिज हो । अर्को अर्थमा भन्नुपर्दा समाचार आज लेख्यो भोली पुरानो हुन सक्छ तर फोटो कहिल्यै पुरानो हुँदैन्,’ उनले भने, ‘समचारको महत्वपूर्ण पाटो फोटो खिच्ने पत्रकारहरु एकजुन हुनु आवश्यक छ र रहिरहनेछ ।’ कास्कीका फोटो पत्रकारहरुले सिर्जनात्मक काम गर्नुपर्नेमा उनको जोड थियो । फोटो पत्रकारका हरेक गतिविधिमा पत्रकार महासंघको सदैव साथ र सहयोग रहने उनले प्रतिवद्धता जनाए ।
नेपाल पत्रकार महासंघ कास्कीका उपाध्यक्ष माधव रेग्मीले समाचारमा फोटोको महत्व जति छ त्यो भन्दा बढि फोटो पत्रकारको महत्व रहेको बताए । फोटो बिना समाचार र पत्रकार अपुरो हुने भएकाले आगामी दिनमा पत्रकार महासंघ र नेपाल फोटो पत्रकार संघ सहकार्य गर्दै अघि बढ्नुपर्नेमा उनको जोड थियो । नेपाल ललित कला प्रज्ञा प्रतिष्ठानका प्राज्ञ सदस्य राधिका कँडेलले कास्कीका फोटो पत्रकारहरु एकजुट हुनुपर्नेमा जोड दिइन् । केन्द्रमा भएको फोटो पत्रकार संघ टुटफुट भएपनि कास्कीबाट एकजुटको सन्देश दिनुपर्ने उनले बताइन् ।
कार्यक्रममा संघका संस्थापक अध्यक्ष घनश्याम पौडेलले २०६२÷०६३ को जनआन्दोलनको समयमा एकजुट भएका फोटो पत्रकारहरुको संस्थाले विभिन्न समयमा फोटो प्रदर्शनीलगायत अन्य रचनात्मक कार्यक्रम गर्दै आएको बताए । आगामी दिनमा पनि अझै क्रियाशिल भएर लाग्न उनको सुझाव थियो । संघका निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष दुर्गाप्रसाद पौडेलले २०६२÷०६३ को जनआन्दोलन क्रममा तस्विर खिच्ने क्रममा बिभिन्न समस्या भोग्नु परेपछि आन्दोलनकै दौरानमा स्थापना भएको संस्था अहिलेको अवस्थामा आईपुगेको बताए । २०५३ सालमा काठमाण्डौंमा खोलिएका राष्ट्रिय फोटो पत्रकार समूह नेपालको शाखाका रुपमा स्थापित संस्था केन्द्रमा गुटबन्दीमा परी टुटफुट भएको अवस्थामा कास्की एक भएर अघि बढिरहेको उनले सुनाए । संघले राजनीति बाहेक, पर्यटन प्रवद्र्धन र वातावरण संरक्षण तथा जनचेतनामूलक फोटो प्रदर्शनी गरिरहेको जानकारी दिए ।
पूर्वअध्यक्ष ईन्द्रप्रसाद पौडेलले केन्द्रमा केन्द्रले २०७४ सालमा गरेको भद्र सहमति र निर्णय लत्याएपनि कास्कीमा केन्द्रकै निर्णय अनुसार दर्ता गरिएको नेपाल फोटो पत्रकार संंघ कास्की विना कुनै गुटबन्दी अहिलेसम्म चलिरहेको जानकारी दिए । वि.सं की २०७४ सालमा दर्ता भएको नेपाल फोटो पत्रकार संंघ, कास्कीको पहिलो नेतृत्व आफैले गरेको उनले सुनाए । त्यसपछिका अध्यक्षहरुले पनि संस्थालाई जोगाएर विभिन्न कार्यक्रम गरिरहेको उनले बताए ।
फोटो पत्रकारहरुको अर्को संस्था फोटो पत्रकार महासंघ, नेपाल कास्की शाखाले फोटो पत्रकारहरु एकजुट हुनुपर्ने सन्देशसहित आफूहरुको संस्था नेपाल फोटो पत्रकार संघ (एनपिजेए) कास्कीमा गाभिएको घोषणा गरेको छ । २०६७ सालमा कास्कीमा स्थापना भएको फोटो पत्रकार महासंघ, नेपाल कास्की शाखाका अध्यक्ष एकराज गिरीले आफ्नो संस्था एनपिजए कास्कीमा गाम्ने घोषणा गरेका हुन् । ‘यति सानो शहरमा फोटो पत्रकारहरुको संस्था किन धेरै बनाउनु छ र?,’ अध्यक्ष गिरीले भने, ‘अहिलेको अवस्थामा पोखरामा क्रियाशिल फोटो पत्रकारहरु एक भएको सन्देश दिन जरुरी छ । आजैका दिन देखि म अध्यक्ष रहेको संस्थालाई एनपिजए कास्कीमा समाहित गरिएको जानकारी गराउँछु ।’
Pokhara: Ram Gurung has been elected as the president of Nepal Photo Journalists Association (NPJA), Kaski. A new working committee led by photojournalist Gurung was unanimously elected from the ninth session of the association held in Pokhara. Radhika Kandel has been elected as vice-president, Dhan Bahadur Gurung as secretary, Sanjay Shakya, Giridhari Poudel and Pravesh Pokharel as members. Election Committee Coordinator Krishna Mani Baral said that the joint secretary and three members will be nominated by the working committee later.
Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ), Gandaki Province Chair Ramesh Poudel inaugurated the convention. Speaking on the occasion, Chairman Poudel said that photo journalists have to work in the front line instead of writing samamar. He said that journalists who take photos that are very important for the news need to unite. “Photographs are very important for news. In other words, if the news is written today, it may be old tomorrow, but the photo will never become old,” he said. He stressed the need for photojournalists of Kaski to do creative work. He pledged the FNJ’s support and cooperation in every activity of photojournalists.
Federation of Nepali Journalists Kaski vice-president Madhav Regmi said that photo journalists are more important than the importance of photos in the news. He stressed the need for the Federation of Nepali Journalists (FNJ) and Nepal Photo Journalists’ Association (FNJ) to work together in the days to come as news and journalists would be incomplete without photos. Radhika Kandel, academic member of Nepal Academy of Fine Arts, stressed the need for photojournalists from Kaski to unite. Although the Photo Journalists’ Association at the centre is broken, a message of unity should be given from Kaski, she said.
On the occasion, Association’s founding president Ghanashyam Poudel said that the association of photojournalists, who came together during the people’s movement of 2062÷63, has been organizing photo exhibitions and other creative programs at different times. He suggested to be more active in the coming days. Durga Prasad Poudel, the outgoing president of the Association, said that the organization established during the people’s movement of 2062÷63 has come to the present stage after facing various problems while taking pictures during the people’s movement. According to him, Kaski is moving ahead unitedly at a time when the national photo journalists’ group established as a branch of Nepal in 2053 BS has been broken due to factionalism at the center. Apart from politics, the association has been organizing photo exhibitions for tourism promotion, environment protection and public awareness.
Former president Indra Prasad Poudel said that the Nepal Photo Journalists’ Association Kaski, which was registered in Kaski as per the centre’s decision, is still running without any factionalism. He said he was the first leader of The Nepal Photo Journalists’ Association, Kaski, which was registered in 2074 BS. He said that the subsequent chairmen have also been carrying out various programs to save the organization.
The Federation of Photo Journalists (FNJ), Nepal Kaski chapter has announced the merger of its organization Nepal Photo Journalists Association (NPJA) kaski with the message that photojournalists should unite. Ekraj Giri, president of The Federation of Photo Journalists, Nepal Kaski chapter, which was established in Kaski in 2067 BS, has announced that his organization NPJA will be merged in Kaski. “Why do you have to build a large number of photojournalists in such a small town?” he said, adding, “In the current situation, it is necessary to send a message that active photojournalists in Pokhara are united.” From this day onwards, the organization where I am the chairman has been merged into NPJA Kaski.
